Food and Dining at the White Horse Inn
 

The White Horse Inn serves home-made food made with good quality fresh ingredients, most locally supplied. Diners can eat in our dining room, the bar or the beer garden. We offer a grills board, a selection of daily specials and a range of bar snacks. Vegetarian meals are always available. If you have specific dietary requirements, you may wish to check with us in advance. Group bookings.

Food is served every lunch and evening except Christmas Day. Lunch 12.00 noon to 2.00pm (12.30pm to 2.30pm on Sunday). Evening 6.30pm to 8.30pm (6.30pm to 9.00pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Specials Board

We offer a specials board that has our daily home-made starters and mains at a cost of £3.00 and £8.00 respectively

Additionally there is a home-made dessert board with desserts at £4.00 each.

A selection of cheeses is also available.

Our grill board gives the best of locally sourced meat products.

Sunday Lunches

On a Sunday lunchtime we serve snacks and roast Sunday dinners. Each week we offer a choice of meats and a vegetarian course.

Bar Snacks

Soup, toasties, sandwiches, ploughmans, salads and egg and chips priced from £3 to £5.50. Also "quick fixes" including cheesy chips.

Bookings

Bookings for parties of less than ten are not essential but are advisable at busy periods, especially weekend evenings and Sunday lunch. Please ring 01588 640305 or email [email protected].

Local Food

We are keen to reduce the food miles our food has travelled. We therefore use the following suppliers.

Meat: Wall's butchers in Craven Arms

Chickens: come from Crowsmoor Farm in Longmeadow End.

Fruit and Vegetables: Rowland's of Shrewsbury and local growers.

Speciality Cheeses: Andrew Pugh Butchers Bishop's Castle

Eggs: Ken Collins Eggs, Clun

Bread: We endeavour to make our own bread although when this is not possible or we run out we use Village Bread from our local shop.

Ice Cream: Dairy Dreams, Churchstoke, Powys
